When is OLAT going offline?

OLAT will be taken offline in the week commencing 29 July 2019, with the exact date and time to be confirmed closer to the date.

What happens to my OLAT portfolio after the shutdown date?

Your portfolio will be permanently inaccessible. If you want to keep a copy of your OLAT portfolio, please download it before the shutdown date using the guidance available.

How can I retrieve the contents of my OLAT portfolio before it is taken offline?

You can download your entire portfolio before OLAT is taken offline. Please read the guidance available.

Will I be able to access my OLAT account after this date?

No, your OLAT account and its portfolio contents will no longer be accessible.

Will the hyperlinks to uploaded documents that are in my OLAT PDF transcript work after the shutdown date?

No, your OLAT account and its portfolio contents will no longer be accessible.

My email address has changed since I last used OLAT. Will this be a problem?

Your email address was used as a username in OLAT. If you remember your OLAT password, you should still be able to login, regardless of your current email address. If you need to reset your password and no longer have access to that email account, you will need to contact the NSHCS Digital Team by telephone on 0121 695 2403 as soon as possible.

I have since forgotten my OLAT password. What should I do?

Please reset your password using the 'Forgot Password' link on the OLAT login page . If you use your work email as your OLAT username, before resetting your password, you MUST ensure that your trust/employer email server does not filter out messages from @olat.org.uk. The School cannot ensure that every NHS Trust and employer allows these messages through.

Has all my work been migrated to OneFile?

If you completed your training programme before September 2018 (or had an extension beyond September 2018) none of your work has been migrated to OneFile. Anyone completing the programme in 2019 or 2020 has had their achievement record migrated to OneFile – i.e. only the record that work was complete on OLAT, not the actual work itself. While it is not required, if you would like to manually migrate your work to OneFile, please ensure you have first downloaded your OLAT portfolio and attached files before the shutdown date.

How can I be sure the School migrated my achievement record to OneFile?

When we first launched OneFile we asked all trainees to check their achievement record on OneFile to ensure it matches what has been carried out on OLAT. If you have not done this yet, you must do this by Monday 22 July 2019. If you notice discrepancies, you must inform the School’s Digital Team on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by Monday 22 July 2019 at the latest, to ensure the team has enough time to check the migration of your achievement record before the shutdown date.

My assessor did not sign off some of my work on OLAT. Can this now be signed off before OLAT is shut down?

No, you will need to resubmit your work on OneFile as all trainee accounts are in a read-only state.
