STP Genomic Counselling Open Day - Sheffield

Time: 12.30 - 4.30pm

The Sheffield Clinical Genetics Service is holding an Open Day for anyone who may be interested in a career as a Genomic Counsellor (GC). 

The day will cover:

  • routes in to a career as a GC (including STP, MSc, nursing) as well as tips for applying
  • what to expect during your training
  • the role of the Genomic Counsellor vs role of the Clinical Geneticist
  • guided case-based discussions

If you have a background in nursing, please contact Sheffield separately to let them know, so they may adjust the agenda if appropriate.

The venue will be in the Treatment Bay of Sam Fox House, Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. Please arrive by 12:30 in order to allow time for registration, for a 12:45 start.
